A Profile That Truly Represents YOU
The Process
Step 1: Initial Consultation via Zoom
The process begins with a recorded videocall; this is essentially a guided interview, wherein I ask specific questions to get a complete picture of your career, achievements, and goals. The first question I will always ask on this call is, “What is the goal of refreshing your LinkedIn?"
Perhaps you are aiming for a career change, to increase your visibility among your followers, or establish yourself as a thought leader.
Whatever the reason, knowing what the end goal is will help me use the information I learn about you in the interview to shape your profile in such a way that every aspect stays true to that goal.
For example, if you are looking to become a thought leader, if you have participated in any speaking invents, interviews, or been published, these are things we would shine a spotlight on.
Having a robust profile does not alway mean having EVERYTHING on it. It also means knowing when to go in depth on what is relevant and perhaps edit what is not on message.
Duration: These sessions usually last between one and two hours, with the time often flying by.
Step 2: The Mock-Up
For the next step, I would create a copy of your current Linkedin profile and edit over it. Here I really get into everything from including media (which I may request from you to send over, this can include links to videos, images, articles etc), copy for the whole profile, and I will make note of any questions that arise.
We then set up a second call, where we go over together the mock-up. This is an opportunity to make edits and tweaks, hear your opinion, and get answers for the questions that came up while working.
Below is an example of an original LinkedIn profile (left) and a mock-up (right). The text in blue represents newly written copy, while the text in red includes questions, discussion points for the call, or items I wanted to specifically review with the client.
Duration: These sessions usually last between 45 minutes and an hour.

Step 3: Review and Finalize
After incorporating the changes, I create a finalized version of the mock-up for your approval. Once approved I can either send you the finalized document for you to copy, or make the changes for you directly into your profile.
Another service that can be discuss at this point is original art for your cover photo.

This profile also included original art for the cover photo. As this client works in a field where she brings foreign investment into Israel, the idea was to keep the art feminine (which was important to her), but strong.
From here came the idea of a flower growing in the desert, and specifically a cactus flower. Something strong that not only won’t blow away but will flourish. I also edited the profile photo to color match the cover photo.
